Brynn Schor, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIS
Brynn is a skilled speech-language pathologist who has spent the past decade specializing in the treatment of children and young adults with complex medical needs. Her commitment to providing comprehensive support for children and their families throughout the continuum of care inspired her to establish Peninsula Specialty Speech Therapy. The practice seeks to address the often-overlooked gap in care between medical and school based services by providing therapy for urgent and immediate needs.
Brynn has honed her expertise at some of the leading hospitals in the country, including the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Maryland and Stanford Medicine Children's Health/Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in California. She is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), recognized by the Brain Injury Association of America.
In addition, Brynn has special interest in and significant experience working with children with executive functioning deficits, brain tumors, seizure disorders, and disorders of consciousness. She is passionate about improving the continuum of care for children with brain injuries and has presented on various topics related to brain injury across numerous settings. She has also designed and implemented communication assessments for use within awake brain surgeries. Brynn leads a quarterly meeting for SLPs across the country who work with pediatric patients experiencing disorders of consciousness.
Brynn spends her free time playing outside with her daughter, hiking around the Bay Area, and baking pastries, cookies, and cakes.
