At Peninsula Specialty Speech Therapy, we pride ourselves on completing thorough and thoughtful assessments to gain a complete picture of your child and their needs. Prior to the assessment, all provided documentation is reviewed to ensure the assessment session can focus on the most pertinent concerns. Evaluations typically are roughly 90 minutes long and include patient/caregiver interview, formal and informal assessment measures, observation, education, and recommendations as appropriate. Following the evaluation, you will be provided with a detailed report which you may choose to share with your child’s school, physician, or therapy providers. When needed, recommendations for school accommodations will be included in this report as well.
